Les Miserables – Encore Entertainers July 26-28
This is a local, youth theatre club that is REMARKABLE! Their performance last Sunday brought me to tears they were so good; the talent is beyond what you would ever expect. A standing ovation! Jack has already raised over $150,000 to support a cure for Leukemia and to support children with living with cancer. Hermosa Beach Holiday Sidewalk Festival: Saturday, November 19, 2011 – 12N – 8:00 PM
The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Holiday Sidewalk Festival this Saturday from 12N – 8:00 PM. The event will take place in Downtown Hermosa Beach, live music, a scavenger hunt, deals, and treats will all be in attendance, making it an authentic community event. All ages are welcome and IT’S FREE! Parking will be difficult so try riding a bike or walking to this event. Get an early start on some holiday shopping this year by slipping into some holiday cheer at the 2nd annual Holiday Sidewalk Festival.

For those of you celebrating Jewish holidays, we thought we’d fill you in on the happenings in the south bay this holiday season. The holiday being celebrated is Chanukah, the festival of lights which calls for lighting candles for eight straight days in a candelabra called a menorah, the exchange of lots of gifts, and the spinning of a top called a dreidl, among other traditions. There are four diverse synagogues in the area serving the Jewish community: Temple Menorah and Chabad Community Center in Redondo, Congregation Tikvat Jacob (CTJ) in Manhattan Beach and Temple Shalom in Hermosa Beach.
